About Evanille: A Vanilla Company That Owns Its Origin

Most companies selling vanilla beans in the US are traders. They buy from exporters, who buy from consolidators, who buy from collectors — and by the time beans reach an American warehouse, nobody can vouch for how they were grown, cured, or graded.

Evanille was built to remove every one of those layers.

Grading and quality control at origin

One Company, Two Continents

At origin: E. Vanille Holdings Ltd, our operation in Uganda, handles sourcing, curing, grading, quality control, and export. We work directly with vanilla farmers, cure the beans at our own facility, and grade every lot in-house before it ships. This is the part of the supply chain traders never see — and it’s the part that determines quality.

In the USA: Our distribution warehouse in Florida holds graded, export-cleared stock ready for fast nationwide shipping, with overnight delivery available. When a gelateria in Chicago or a bakery in Portland orders, the beans are already in the country.

That structure — production at origin, distribution at destination — is what lets us do things no competitor does: publish our vanilla bean prices openly, guarantee farm-to-warehouse traceability, and commit to recurring supply contracts backed by two harvests a year.

Why We Chose Uganda

When we set up at origin, we didn’t go where everyone else was. Madagascar dominates the vanilla trade, and that concentration is exactly the problem: one origin, one annual harvest, and price swings that punish every buyer downstream.

Uganda grows exceptional Vanilla planifolia — bold, chocolatey, 2.5% vanillin in our lots — and harvests it twice a year, December–February and June–August. For our customers, that translates into supply that doesn’t disappear and pricing that doesn’t whiplash. The full story is on our Uganda origin page, and the bean-for-bean comparison is in Uganda vs. Madagascar vanilla.

How We Operate

  • Direct farmer relationships — we source from farmers we know, not open markets
  • Own curing and grading facility — the slow, skilled work that turns green pods into aromatic beans happens under our roof
  • In-house QC and export — moisture testing, vanillin analysis, COA documentation, and export handling, all controlled by our team
  • US stock, US service — Florida warehouse, same-day quotes, and a phone number a human answers

EVANILLE™ is the global brand of Jorge Carbo LLC (United States). Origin operations — sourcing, curing, grading, QC, and export in Uganda — are run by E. Vanille Holdings Ltd (Uganda). Two entities, one supply chain, full accountability at both ends.

Who We Work With

Artisan ice cream makers and gelaterias, bakeries and pastry kitchens, chocolatiers, extract producers, small food manufacturers, food brands that need a traceable single-origin story, craft breweries, and distributors — plus small commercial buyers who want production-grade beans without a broker in the middle.

If that’s you, start with the vanilla beans catalog, check current prices, or go straight to bulk and contract pricing.
